We could barely wait for morning. After all, not every tourist gets to visit Khao Khitchakut National Park, especially with a Thai family.

Suni rented an open-top car, and at 7:00 AM, we left “Oasis” resort towards Koh Chang’s pier. About 40 minutes later, we were at the pier.

The entire journey, with short stops, to Khao Khitchakut park in northern Chanthaburi province took just over 4 hours. The ferry ride was fun!

In the next post, you’ll learn about car prices in Thailand.

Traveler’s Tips: Ferry ticket prices: Thammachat Pier (Route: “Thammachat – Koh Chang Island (Ao Sapparod) – Thammachat”). The most convenient and popular pier among tourists. Cost: 100 baht one way, 120 baht round trip, 20 baht for scooter transport, 100 baht for a car. Operating hours: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Ferries depart every 45 minutes. Journey time: 30 minutes.

Centerpoint Pier (Route: “Centerpoint – Koh Chang Island – Centerpoint”). Located 3 km east of Thammachat pier. Mainly used by locals and minivan drivers. Cost: 70 baht one way, 100 baht round trip, free transport for cars or scooters. Operating hours: 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Journey time: 60 minutes.
