They’re not searching for a better life… they’re creating it with their own hands.

Welcome to our new series “Business Ideas,” kicking off with an incredible story from Thailand about a fascinating German expat.

Meet Peter Heim, a long-time resident of Koh Chang, Thailand. These days, Peter spends barely a month a year in Germany. How does he manage to stay in the Land of Smiles for so long? What’s his source of income? And how did his love for the island and the internet help him generate an online income?

We’ll explore all this in a short interview with a man who dared to leave behind all the comforts of civilization (insurance, guarantees, prestigious job) in one of Europe’s most economically developed countries. He traded it all for a small, one-room bungalow right on the shores of the Gulf of Siam, the pleasure of doing what he loves, and living where he feels most comfortable.

So, let’s welcome Peter from Germany, our “Internet Man” (as we affectionately call him, since he’s the only one with internet at Porn’s Bungalows), and discover the secret to his happiness!

The interview is in English.

In our next post, you’ll learn where the famous Dmitry Smakotin once lived on Koh Chang, Thailand, and why we also moved there.

Share your experiences with internet on Koh Chang or in Thailand in general if you’ve been here!

Remember, fellow digital nomads, sometimes the path to freedom means leaving the familiar behind. Peter’s story shows us that with courage, creativity, and an internet connection, we can create our ideal lifestyle anywhere in the world!
