Koh Chang boasts several waterfalls scattered across the island. Almost every tourist or vacationer dreams of seeing a waterfall… and maybe even taking a dip. However, most waterfalls only “work” during the rainy season from May to September.

The most famous and popular is the Klong Plu waterfall. It “works” year-round, making it a perfect spot for digital nomads looking for a refreshing break from work.

We headed there with our friend from Yekaterinburg, Dmitry Shaparov, and his wife Irina. Dmitry, an avid traveler who’s been to many countries, is a fascinating and strong-spirited person. You can learn more about Dmitry in my exclusive video interview HERE.

There’s an entrance fee to the waterfall. The path to the waterfall is lined with beautiful spots and, in my opinion, wonderful trees.

Khlong Phlu is the most convenient waterfall for swimming on the island. One of its pools reaches seven meters at its deepest point.

How can you not take a dip in such heat in the cool water? :)

Dmitry practices his Spanish, chatting with a Spanish couple. I joined them. It was fun!

It was a perfect day off. Tomorrow, Anfisa Breus – freelance blogger, will be back to work in her open office. And that’s great!

In the next post, you’ll learn how a traveling freelancer’s office and workday are organized.

Traveler’s Tip: Ticket price for Khlong Phlu waterfall: 200 baht (rubles) for adults and 100 baht (rubles) for children (under 14). The waterfall is 3 km from the main road into the island and Klong Prao beach. The ticket office is at the end of a 2 km paved road. The path to Klong Plu is open from 8:00 to 16:30. It’s another 800 meters on foot to the waterfall along a jungle trail.

Remember, fellow digital nomads, balancing work and exploration is key to this lifestyle. A day at the waterfall can rejuvenate you for your next big project!
