For the first time in my life, not just on TV, I saw where crabs hide. I never thought they could burrow into the sand so quickly and deeply… and escape. Just watch the video and you’ll see for yourself.

Our fearless Thai guide, Dot, will show you. As digital nomads, we’re always looking for unique local experiences, and this was certainly one!

I can add that Dot was very attentive to us. At the coral reefs, he dived with us and pointed out the most beautiful coral fish. On the islands, he entertained us by digging up crabs. Dot’s friendliness and care made our excursion even more wonderful.

For those of us used to sitting behind screens, this hands-on experience with nature was both thrilling and grounding. It’s moments like these that remind us why we chose the digital nomad lifestyle – to work and experience the world simultaneously.

In the next post, you’ll learn about an uninhabited (but frequently visited) island. Imagine setting up your remote office there for a day!

Share your impressions of similar excursions. How do you balance work and exploration in your nomadic life?

Traveler’s Tip for Digital Nomads: Crabs: They hide in sand, rocks, or seaweed washed up on shore. They eat everything from mollusks, crustaceans, worms, sea urchins, and even birds caught off guard on the shore. Crabs tear their prey with powerful claws. Be careful with them.

Pro Tip: Consider incorporating these natural wonders into your work. Whether you’re a writer, designer, or coder, nature can provide unexpected inspiration for your projects.

Have you had any surprising wildlife encounters during your remote work travels? Share your stories in the comments! Your fellow digital nomads will be very grateful for any additional useful information.

Remember, being a digital nomad isn’t just about changing your work location – it’s about enriching your life and work with new experiences. Crab hunting with a local guide is a perfect example of how you can deepen your understanding of your temporary home while taking a break from work!
