Pantip Plaza: An Electronic Paradise

After losing our camera, our first stop in Bangkok was the famous Pantip Plaza:

  • 5 Floors of Tech: A veritable wonderland of electronics spread across five floors.
  • Vast Selection: Everything from computers and software to cameras and phones.
  • Our Purchase: We bought our new Sony SLT-A65V camera here.

Exploring Bangkok: Food and Transportation

Our adventure continued with:

  • Local Breakfast: We enjoyed delicious, freshly made donuts from a street vendor.
  • City Sounds: The roar of motorbikes at intersections, reminiscent of Pattaya.
  • Tuk-Tuk Ride: We eventually gave in to the persistent tuk-tuk drivers and embarked on a city tour.

The Tuk-Tuk Adventure

Our tuk-tuk experience was both thrilling and slightly nerve-wracking:

Duration: A two-hour tour of the city’s main attractions.

  • Unexpected Twist: Our driver was slightly tipsy, adding an element of adventure (and concern) to the ride.
  • Cultural Insight: The driver asked us to visit a jewelry store to help him get free gas – a common tourist experience in Bangkok.

Work and Travel Balance

After our morning adventures, we returned to our hotel to work on our passion project:

  • Business Blogs: We create high-quality business blogs, which fund our world travels.
  • Quality Focus: Our love for travel motivates us to produce top-notch content for our clients.

Stay tuned for our next post, where we’ll take you to the tallest building in Bangkok – the Baiyoke Sky Hotel!

Travel Tips:

  • Electronics Shopping: Pantip Plaza is a must-visit for tech enthusiasts in Bangkok.
  • Tuk-Tuk Tours: A 2-hour tuk-tuk tour of Bangkok costs around 200 baht (though drivers might initially ask for less).
  • Jewelry Stores: Be aware that tuk-tuk drivers might ask you to visit jewelry stores. It’s part of a common tourist scheme, but can be an interesting cultural experience if you’re prepared for it.
  • Work-Travel Balance: Consider how you can fund your long-term travels. For us, creating business blogs provides the perfect balance.
  • Question for digital nomads: How do you balance work and exploration while traveling? Share your tips and experiences in the comments!
